یک فضای تهی شامل چهار نمایشنامه کوتاه است: "نطفه"، "ویار"،"Couvade" و "حلقه" که همگی در یک فضای تهی با تکیه بر کم‌ترین دیالوگ و بازیگر، چالش اصلی‌شان پیرامون عصیان در جست‌وجوی هویت است. نطفه؛ مردی که برای از بین بردن نطفه‌اش زنش را می‌کشد. ویار؛ زنی آبستن که به دنبال زنی‌ست و در این بین زندگی سنتی را در هم می‌شکند. Couvade؛ مردی که آبستن می‌شود و حلقه؛ مردی که به دنبال رویایش که شبیه خود اوست در دام یک زن می‌افتد. این نمایشنامه‌ها بین سال‌های 1385 تا 1395 نگاشته شده‌اند. محسن عظیمی از اواخر دهه هفتاد به‌شکل تجربی در زمینه‌‌ی نمایشنامه‌نویسی، کارگردانی و بازیگری تئاتر فعالیت می‌کند. از جمله نمایشنامه‌های منتخب و منتشر شده او عبارتند از: "همیشه همه‌چیز یه‌جور نیست" ، "آجر"، "چرخ" .

An empty space includes four short plays: "The Sperm", "Craving", "Couvade" and "The Circle". These four plays' main challenge is a rebellion against an investigation on the identity. "Sperm", a man who kills his own wife to destroy his sperm. "Craving", a pregnant woman who seeks another woman and breaks the traditional life's taboos. "Couvade", a man who gets pregnant and "The Circle" a man who is trapped by a woman seeking his dreams. These plays were written between 2006 and 2016. Mohsen Azimi has been working as a playwright, an art director and an actor since the late 80s.
